Between 5-7 December, 2018, within the RESTART Project (No. 585353-EPP-1-2017-1-RO-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, Reinforce entrepreneurial and digital skills of students and teachers to enhance the modernization of higher education in MOLDOVA), a round table was organized with the generic title: “Testing the entrepreneurial curriculum to meet the needs of employers and USARB graduates”, hosted at the Faculty of Exact, Economic and Environmental Sciences of Alecu Russo Balti State University. The activity was attended by the professors of economic disciplines from our university, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria, and the partner universities from the Republic of Moldova (State University of Moldova, State Agrarian University, Academy of Economic Studies, Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu University of Cahul), Master students of Commercial Business Administration program and five entrepreneurs from Balti.
During the roundtable, the changes made in the study courses were discussed, in order to increase the competitiveness of Master program graduates of the economic specialties on the labour market, as well as, to meet the employers’ needs based on the existing activity conditions of the economic entities. The institutional coordinator of the project, PhD, Ass. Professor Nelli Amarfii-Railean presented the achievements of the project in its first year of activity, and the professors of the Department of Economic Sciences, PhD, Ass. Professor Irina Movila and PhD, Ass. Professor Maria Oleiniuc, made a presentation about the upgraded courses and responded to the questions of Master students and the employers. PhD, Univ. Professor Teodora Chicioreanu, from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, presented several modern digital tools for streamlining the training process. The representatives of the business environment, Irina Pasneac and Oleg Petelca confirmed the willingness of the entrepreneurial sector to contribute to the training of qualified specialists through coaching and networking activities on specialized platforms.
According to the activities planned under the ReSTART project at Alecu Russo Balti State University, at least five roundtables will be organized with the involvement of Master students and representatives of the economic entities, governmental and nongovernmental organizations from the Northern region of the Republic of Moldova.
